BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: White Bloc said that Iraq paid greater bill to hold the Arab Summit, pointing that the representation will not achieve suitable resolutions on the Arab level.
MP Alia Nsaif told Aswat al-Iraq that "we hoped that the representation should be higher, thus the resolutions will not be to levels needed".
She added that "Iraq hosted the Summit to inform others that it is an Arab country with full solidarity with others".
Nsaif hoped that the Arab Summit will discuss Iraqi issues, such as the debts, violations against Iraqi territories, and pending issues with Arab countries.
The Arab Economic and Finance Ministers meetings ended before yesterday.
This is the third time that Baghdad hosts the Arab Summit, the first was in 1978 and the second in 1990.
The Iraqi government hopes by such Summit it will return to the Arab milieu and rightful position in the Arab world.
The Arab Summit agenda was handed over to Arab ambassadors to the Arab League on 15 March instant, including a topic suggested by Iraq to condemn terrorism and to exert efforts to counter it.
Iraqi foreign ministry, earlier, announced that about 10 Arab leaders will attend, while the others with high ranking delegations.© Aswat Aliraq 2012
