BEIRUT, May 15 (Reuters) - Lebanon's central bank will take measures to maintain monetary stability in 2017, its governor Riad Salameh said on Monday, a year after the bank carried out a programme of financial engineering to boosted foreign exchange reserves.

"There will be initiatives to maintain stability because monetary stability is important for Lebanon," he said at a Euromoney conference in Beirut when asked whether the bank was considering further measures in 2017.
