Dubai, UAE - As part of its efforts to support the message and blessed goals of the Year of Giving, Dubai Customs signed a memorandum of Understanding with Union Coop; one of the biggest consumer cooperatives in the UAE.

The agreement was signed by Ahmed Obeid Al Falasi, Executive Director of Human Resources, Finance and Administration at Dubai Customs and Harbi Mohammed bin Thani, Operations Director Manager at Union Coop, in the presence of Khalil Saqer, Director of Corporate Communication Department and Yousef Ozair, Director of IPR Department at Dubai Customs, and Suhail Al Bastaki, Director of Happiness and Marketing and Huda Salim, manager of Communication& social service at Union Coop.

Al Falasi commended the role of the Union Coop in providing good quality commodities at affordable prices.

The agreement will see the Union Coop print the logos of Dubai Customs campaigns on its bio friendly plastic bags and distribute booklets and brochures at its different outlets to raise public awareness about Dubai Customs campaigns and strategic activities.

“This agreement is a continuation of a strategic long term partnership between us. Such M0U’s promote purposeful partnerships and encourage collective work towards the welfare of society” Al Falasi commented.

On his part, bin Thani highlighted the important role of Dubai Customs in protecting society from counterfeited items.

“By signing this agreement we want to shed more light on Dubai Customs’ remarkable role in sustaining security and supporting national economy”.
