Oman Air's iconic white exhibition stand will this week be the focus for a wide range of industry meetings, media interviews and authentic Arabian hospitality, as the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman participates in ITB Berlin 2015. The event runs from Wednesday 4th to Sunday 8th March, and is held at Messe Berlin, located to the west of the German capital.

As the airline prepares to launch new services to Singapore, Goa and Dhaka from later this month, it aims to use the platform that ITB offers to raise awareness of Oman Air's ever-expanding network of exciting international destinations, as well as the warm welcome and outstanding range of attractions that Oman offers for every visitor.

The Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air, Paul Gregorowitsch, will lead the airline's high-level delegation, which will also include Chief Officer Sales Mahfood Al Harthy.

Mr Gregorowitsch commented:
"ITB Berlin is the world's largest showcase for the travel industry and Oman Air is delighted to once again be taking part. The event gives us an essential opportunity to renew relationships with our travel trade partners, both from Germany and from further afield. It also offers the prospect of building new partnerships with travel agents, tour operators and hoteliers, as well as letting the media know about our ambitious programme of growth.

"And, for the second year in a row, we look forward to recognizing the invaluable coverage of Oman Air and the Sultanate of Oman provided by the German media. We will be announcing the results of the Oman Air Media Awards on the 5th March 2015 and, with the judges having considered a vast number of entries, the results are eagerly anticipated."

ITB Berlin 2015 is the first major international travel event to be held since Oman Air launched its expansion programme in November 2014. This will see the airline increase its fleet size from 20 aircraft to around 50 by 2018. It will also escalate the number of destinations it offers and increase frequencies on a number of established routes.

ITB Berlin brings together 10,000 exhibitors from 180 countries across five continents. With 20,000 convention visitors, 50,000 private visitors and 110,000 trade visitors - including 600 qualified top buyers - the event presents an unequalled array of opportunities for both businesses and individuals. The business undertaken at ITB Berlin 2015 is expected to turn over more than six billion Euros.
