Poland's gross domestic product rose 1.0% year-on-year in the fourth quarter compared to a 0.5% rise in the previous quarter, a first estimate from the statistics office showed on Wednesday.

Analysts polled by Reuters expected a rise of 1.1% year-on-year.

The statistics office said that in the fourth quarter seasonally-adjusted GDP remained unchanged quarter-on-quarter, versus a revised rise of 1.1% in the previous quarter. (Reporting by Mateusz Rabiega and Anna Banacka in Gdansk)
