Expert speaker line-up, Rigzone Recruitment Pavilion and Product Showcase Theatre to create project success in Iraq oilfield production

Dubai, 2 May 2013 - The CWC Group has announced its fourth edition of the Iraq Mega Projects Conference and Exhibition, taking place 30 September - 2 October 2013 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, UAE. The three day Conference and two day Exhibition will gather senior Iraqi professionals, contract holders and service industry organisations from across the value chain to identify project and infrastructure best practice and solutions, in support of oilfield production in Iraq.

Iraq is the most dynamic energy market in the Middle East, currently boasting the third largest proven oil and gas reserves in the world. Proven reserves have been found in 79 fields, of which only 23 are currently producing. Iraq's probable reserves offer an additional 214 billion barrels of oil. The country has an ambitious production plan underway with 500 live projects, and 19 technical contracts have been awarded since 2008.

Iraq Mega Projects 2013 will focus on six key areas essential to project delivery: oilfield development, technological advances, optimised logistics, free zones, corporate social responsibility and local content. The Conference programme offers rich content on Iraq's hydrocarbon ambitions, real case studies from oilfields operating in the country, ideas to develop local human resource capacities, and the generation of time and operational efficiencies, among other pertinent topic.

"Iraq Mega Projects brings together stakeholders in the country's oil sector; ensuring decision-makers have access to best practice, knowledge and technological showcases, to facilitate project successes in the country. The two day Conference combines local expertise and insights with global best practices to offer a better understanding of the many factors that play a role in successful project execution in Iraq's dynamic energy market. The 2013 edition of Iraq Mega Projects offers a very exciting programme and relevant exhibits, this is a must-attend event for anyone with a stake in Iraq's energy sector," said Iraq Mega Projects Event Producer, Natalie Bacon.

This year's Iraq Mega Projects Exhibition floor will feature over 100 companies showcasing their expertise, products and services to southern Iraq's upstream oil industry. The Exhibition is expected to attract 3,500 to 4,000 visitors including project managers, purchasing managers and senior decision-makers looking for market knowledge and solutions to develop their business in Iraq.

"The Iraq Mega Projects 2013 Exhibition is a must attend meeting point for organisations seeking to explore oilfield opportunities in the energy-rich country. It offers an ideal opportunity for IOCs and NOCs to source the innovative technologies and service providers essential to delivering key projects and ensuring contractual targets are met." said Sebastien David, Exhibition Sales Manager for Iraq Mega Projects.

The fourth Iraq Mega Project Conference and Exhibition will focus on operating with greater efficiency and supporting the industry to meet contractual obligations. The three day event provides a platform for senior Iraqi professionals, contract holders and service industry organisations from across the value chain to hear successful company's present experiences, case studies and solutions to key challenges, and showcase new products and services.
