'Everything that needs collaborative human interaction will be multi-user multi-touch based' says Arrive Company President
Rave HDIR Collaborative Multi-Touch Platform to be showcased
UAE, Dubai - 15 October, 2012 Arrive - a leading provider of innovative and green ICT solutions, will launch its Rave brand of Collaborative Multi-Touch Products at Infocomm MEA 2012 (running concurrently with GITEX 2012, 14-18th October).
Arrive's "Rave" branded Multi-User Collaborative Multi-Touch technologies offer a complete range of projected and display based multi-touch surfaces, which can be used to create very large format, extended touch displays, interactive table and surfaces such as interactive walls.
"Collaborative Multi-User Multi-Touch (MUMT) recognition enables humans to interface with a computer and interact naturally without holding any mechanical devices," states Aseem Gupta, President of Arrive Limited. "Using the concept of collaborative multi-user multi-touch recognition, it is possible to use multiple fingers of several users to interact simultaneously on the display screen and perform collaborative functions. This could potentially make conventional input devices such as mouse and keyboards redundant".
"At present, this technology is largely confined to small 'smart devices' such as mobile phones and tablets and mid-sized display screens with limited multi-touch capability. We are taking this to a whole new level and at GITEX-INFOCOMM, Arrive will be showcasing its "Touch-Your-Future" product presentation showing Large Screen Multi-User Multi-Touch Displays - up to 85", with a 32 touch point 65" Multi-Touch Meeting Table, Dual Touch Media Wall, Interactive Whiteboards, Free Standing Touch Kiosks and Touch Interactive Room Signage Systems.
The Rave HDIR-Collaborative Multi-Touch Technology Platform offers unique capabilities, which allow product and concept developers to offer a wide variety of applications to suit integration with furniture, walls, floors and free standing applications.
"We are of the firm belief that everything that needs collaborative human interaction will be multi-user touch based in the not-too-distant future," adds Gupta.
Rave's HDIR-Collaborative Multi-Touch technology is highly flexible in offering product applications that currently span from a single touch point to up to 40 touch points on a single extended multi-touch frame, which can be customised to stretch across a large collection of display surfaces.
"We can stretch our Collaborative Multi-User Multi-Touch system to spread across 10 meters of contiguous displays with a single computer connection managing multi-user multi-touch at 40 points simultaneously," comments Gupta.
Applications can be created using all the currently available display technologies in the market - projection, Plasma or LCD; the software system works with Mac, Microsoft, Linux and TUIO drivers. These two unique features differentiate the Rave HDIR-Collaborative Multi-Touch Technology from other technologies, which are currently limited by size, number of touch points or their ability to integrate with display surfaces.
