MUSCAT -- Bahwan CyberTek group, in association with Infoline LLC, has initiated a six months' intensive (1,000 hours) call centre training for an initial batch of 25 trainees who have been selected and sponsored by the Ministry of Manpower.
Awarding of the project to Bahwan CyberTek has been one among the various initiatives sprouted by the government of Oman along with the Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of Education for an extensive manpower development of today's young Omani generation.
The training is being executed by Bahwan CyberTek in association with Infoline, pioneers in call centre and Business Process Outsourcing services in Oman.
Infoline has designed a completely structured outfit wherein the chosen batch of trainees will be endowed with professional and certified call centre training.
Besides they would also be assured an appropriate job opportunity in the forthcoming processes within Infoline's state-of-the-art call centre at Knowledge Oasis Muscat.
Durgaprasad, CEO of Bahwan CyberTek, said: "Contribution to the progress and development of the people of Oman has been one of our primary focuses which has often been well tied to our corporate goals"
The training module encompasses areas like communication skills, telephony skills and etiquette, customer care management, voice accent neutralisation and a basic technical training on call centre operations.
"The quality processes adopted at the training session conducted by the Training and Development Wing of Infoline LLC are aligned to the international business process outsourcing industry's training standards.
These training programmes will be monitored and mentored by Infoline's certified trainers" explained Sameer Gupta, vice-president of Infoline.
Infoline LLC, a joint venture initiative of Bahwan CyberTek, Omantel and the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates has achieved more than 70 per cent employment rate of trained Omani youths in their various contact centre and BPO processes.
Infoline will not only continue to strive towards providing a world class service offering in Business Process Outsourcing and Contact Centre Services but will also play a vital role in generating adequate employment opportunities for the qualified Omani youth in the areas of customer service, technical support, sales and marketing, and other business functions.
