ABU DHABI, 21 Mar, 05 (WAM) - Exhibitors from Italy, China and UAE attractedmost number of visitors at the recently concluded International FashionJewellery & Accessories Fair (IFJA), the only specialised show of itskind in the region, which was held in conjunction with the InternationalWatch & Clock Fair (IWCF), at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The shows featured exhibitors from countries like Germany, Hong Kong,India, Malaysia, Netherlands, Korea, Lebanon and UK, besides China, Italyand the UAE, who had the strongest representation, according toa press release.
Emad Al Hawai, Managing Director, International Expositions, the organiserof the fairs said, "Variety, was the most striking feature of this year'sshow, with exhibitors from around the world showcasing an array of latestdesigns in fashion jewellery and watches." "Although all stands drewa lot of trade visitors, exhibitors from China, Italy and UAE generatedmost interest. China has been penetrating world markets with their productsand they have created a niche even in fashion jewellery and watches.
Italian designs are known globally for its exclusivity and class andthe exhibitors at IFJA and IWCF have lived up to this reputation. Exhibitors from UAE displayed a wide range of precious stones, jewelleryand latest designs in watches, which were heavily appreciated," addedAl Hawai. Visitors at the IFJA and IWCF were exposed to some of the finest offeringsin gold and silver jewellery, beads, pearls, semi precious stones, designerjewellery, hair ornaments, watches, clocks, machinery, packaging relatedcomponents.The IFJA and IWCF showcased exhibits from top designers, internationalcompanies targeting products for the MENA distribution channels, internationalexport associations, global manufacturers, re-exporters, distributors,wholesales, publishing houses, and shop fitting and decoration companies.
The total exhibition area for the shows was 1,200 square meters, whichwas a significant increase from the last edition."There was a notable increase in sales this year, besides a 40 per centgrowth in exhibitor turnout, which has contributed in boosting the popularityof the fairs. This also signifies the crucial role played by Dubai inenhancing the region's fashion jewellery and watch industry. These fairsalso present a number of networking opportunities for exhibitors to explorepossible business alliances. We look forward to further increasing thenumber of trade visitors during the next year's show," concluded Al Hawai.
The International Watch & Clock Fair showcased the very latest fromthe world of fashion watches. Global manufacturers of high-fashion watchesand accessories unveiled their new range of products at the event, targetingthe vast Middle East market that has shown increased demand for highquality products in this category.
