MUSCAT -- The Electricity Holding Company (EHC) in Muscat recently held a training skills workshop for 120 distinguished Omani managers and employees from the Electricity Holding Company Group, at Crowne Plaza, Muscat.

The workshop aimed at introducing the requirements of the asset management standards to the employees of the Electricity Group. The training will ultimately help them plan and achieve accreditation to international standards in the asset management field, in order to further improve electricity services to the electricity customers in the Sultanate.

Omar al Wahaibi, the CEO of EHC, gave a presentation, as part of the workshop, highlighting the importance of introducing a strong asset management system. Commenting on the workshop, he said "The availability of different valuable assets and other electrical equipment across the Electricity Sector, stresses the importance of introducing a strong asset management system in the Sector.

He added: "EHC Group is keen to regularly provide its electricity customers across the Sultanate with the best electricity services, and regularly provides development opportunities for Omanis, supporting the efforts of the government in Omanisation and professional development of Omanis."

The Electricity Holding Company (EHC) is a closed stock Omani Company owned by the Omani Government. EHC holds the shares of the Government in nine companies engaged in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and related water services. EHC Group provides Omanis with the job opportunities as well as all the support to improve their skills and experience.
