Kuwait City, Kuwait: - The Mowgli Foundation, an award winning, UK-headquartered mentoring organisation partnered with MIT Enterprise Forum Pan Arab Region for a 4th consecutive year to host a Mentoring Awareness session entitled at the Arab Startup Competition, held in Kuwait City, Kuwait on 18th April. The session was designed to inspire and engage with social entrepreneurs taking part in the Social Entrepreneurship Track of the competition by exploring the practice, application and benefits of mentoring for entrepreneurs. Mowgli's Levant Business Manager, Thanaa Al Khasawneh, was invited to participate as one of the Elevator Pitch Judges during the competition.

"The Power of Mentoring" event was held at the Symphony Hotel in Kuwait City, and attended by over 25 social entrepreneur teams. Thanaa Al Khasawneh, hosted an informative and interactive session in which she spoke about the practice and impact of mentoring on business growth and leadership development and inspired the participants to discover the benefits of mentoring for themselves and their businesses.

Mowgli joined the panel for the Elevator Pitch Judging, which saw the teams from all tracks pitch their ideas and businesses to over 70 judges. The winners were announced on 21st April at the Gala Awards ceremony during the MIT Pan-Arab Conference, which was held in conjunction with the MIT Enterprise Forum Pan Arab Region's Arab Startup Competition for the first time.

The MIT Enterprise Forum Pan Arab Region's Arab Startup Competition, in partnership with Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives and Zain Group, targets 21 countries of the Arab region, bringing in more than 5,000 applications a year and engages entrepreneurs in mentorship and networking.
