Al Shirawi FM, one the leading Facilities Management companies within the U.A.E., recently won the "Best Safety Contractor 2014 Award" from The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). The award was given to Al Shirawi for its exemplary service in maintaining the best of Health and Safety practices at RTA's installations managed by the company.
The award is granted annually to the best strategic partner in achieving RTA's safety strategy, best consultant, best contractor and the best worker who adopt the best practices in applying occupational safety in various RTA projects and construction sites. Al Shirawi FM was selected after thoroughly passing through all the stringent criteria set by the RTA. The RTA award committee members also conducted Interviews and visits to ensure all parameters were met.
Al Shirawi FM secured the "Best Safety Contractor" in the category of medium scale, for its extraordinary safety records in handling prestigious RTA projects including the Shindagha Tunnel and Airport Tunnel.
His Excellency Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of RTA, presented the award to Al Shirawi FM's General Manager, Evie Boustantzi, during a ceremony held at the RTA Head Quarters on the 19th of March 2015 in Dubai.
Receiving the award from RTA's Chairman, Evie said "This is an exceptional achievement that is the result of consistent hard work and dedication to high standards of health and safety practices. The award parameters were quite demanding and a stringent selection process was carried out by RTA, which makes the result even more worthy of deep admiration. Our commitment towards Health and Safety will be an ever growing process."
Also present at the event were Hasnain Husain - Corporate Manager - H.S.E for Al Shirawi FM, Mathew Thomas - Assistant Manager - H.S.E, Mohammad Khalid Safety Officer - Airport Tunnel Project and Asghar Basha - Project Manager - Airport Tunnel.
