AMMAN — Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani on Thursday expressed the government’s determination to take decisions that serve citizens and national interests, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

In an interview on Jordan Television, the government spokesperson said the most recent measures, namely the extension of property fee exemptions, and the slashing of vehicle ownership transfer fees.

Moreover, the 2017 budget was drafted to lead to an increase in growth rates by allocating JD1.3 billion as investment spending, Momani said, adding that the budget responds to the current economic situation brought on by regional unrest, which has caused a slowdown in tourism, transport and trade.
