Crestron has unveiled a number of stylish and innovative new products for residential installers across the Middle East, Europe and the USA. The products include the brand new TPS-6X, a fabulous home cinema zone, lighting control solutions in action, as well as security and audio solutions set alongside everything that makes 'Total Home Technology' an outstanding family of products.
Taking centre stage is the Crestron TPS-6X which redefines touchpanel design for the 21st Century. This 6-inch touchpanel streamlines the Crestron family of panels by combining the features and functionality previously found in nine other models. It redefines touchpanel design by providing a sleek tabletop form factor with total wireless portability. By marrying elegant aesthetics and ergonomic design with powerful control the TPS-6X is the perfect intuitive interface for whole home control.
Also making its debut is the award-winning AMS-AIP. Part of the Adagio family, the AMS-AIP is able to scale video input signals to match the resolution of a high-definition display and support output resolutions up to 1080p. It can display multiple screens of varying and scalable sizes to create the ultimate "picture-in-picture" function. As well as allowing the viewer to display (for example) security camera feeds, it can also display a touchpanel layout. This added functionality allows advanced control of lighting control, HVAC and security devices from a basic remote control device. All Adagio models offer the same plug-and-play connectivity and out-of-the-box functionality that makes Adagio the easiest home entertainment system to install and the most versatile to expand.
The popular Cameo keypads have been freshened up with a new button shape, auto-dimmable backlit engraving, colour-matched finishes and built-in programming logic. The new rounded button caps are provided in three sizes, enabling the choice of 2 to 6 individual buttons per keypad, with refined pushbutton action for a more consistent, positive feel. Auto-dimming text remains crisp and legible under any lighting condition, giving the appearance of regular laser-engraved text under normal lighting, changing to softly-illuminated text in a darkened room
Lighting control once again plays a key role as Crestron market share grows year-on-year thanks to a unique ability to be able to seamlessly integrate lighting control with audio visual, security, and building management systems. The launch of the new line of DIN-Rail lighting and control modules will be hugely popular as it is the most common installation standard worldwide. The DIN-Rail form is highly efficient and requires only a fraction of the space of a traditional equipment rack. Cost-effective and compact, DIN-Rail modules are perfect for small spaces that cannot accommodate a full-size rack or smaller systems that do not need a full rack. Modules simply snap onto the DIN-Rail in the cabinet - no tools are required.
The high-definition digital video processor, the DVPHD, embraces flexibility and innovation by accepting up to eight source signals and displaying them simultaneously in up to eight scalable video windows. The DVPHD also handles HDMI with external adaptors and is available in several models, including multiple output versions for larger applications. With a low cost per channel, the DVPHD offers great value for money.
The TPMC-4XG is ingeniously designed to provide a powerful wireless control solution that's easy to hold and intuitive to use. TPMC-4XG features a 3.5" active-matrix colour touchscreen display, producing stunning 16-bit graphics with 3D effects, high-res images, dynamic graphics and text, PNG translucency and animation. A stylus is also included for use with the on-screen keyboard - conveniently stowed in its own storage slot. The TPMC-4XG delivers 802.11g in addition to 802.11b WiFi communications, video and Windows Sideshow™ support. The new field replaceable battery also enables longer usage between charges.
Others highlights include the latest addition to the Isys® touchpanel series: The TPS-6L wall mount touchpanel delivers high-end style and performance in a compact, cost-effective flush mount design. High-speed Ethernet communication provides easy network integration and seamless communications with Crestron home automation solutions. Also the TPMC-8L, a stylish wall or lectern mount touchpanel featuring the Windows® XP Embedded OS to deliver a powerful control solution with extremely fast performance.
