MUSCAT -- Oman National Transport Company (ONTC) has presented its annual safety awards during an awards ceremony to 116 drivers who have performed exceptionally well on safety standards throughout the year.
The safety standards criteria include adhering to the rules and regulations of driving stipulated by the Royal Oman Police and drivers who have not made any accidents or incidents. The ceremony was held at Azaiba on December 28.
Apart from awarding merit certificates, cash award bonus was also given to the drivers.
Apart from induction training, the ONTC drivers undergo yearly refresher courses and recently the Ministry of Manpower also allocated trained HDD drivers to the market.
