The Board of Directors of the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) held its 4th meeting for the year 2022, chaired by Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the person of the AJBWC and Board member of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), to review the achievements of the projects and initiatives of the AJBWC during the current year and discuss and approve the 2023 work plan of the AJBWC.

The meeting was held at the AJBWC and attended by Aisha Khalfan Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the AJBWC, members of the Board of Directors, and its employees.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Amna Khalifa welcomed the board members of the AJBWC, and emphasized the importance of making its initiatives and projects for 2023 in alignment with the directions of the Emirate of Ajman and the UAE, and the need to direct the AJBWC member businesswomen to develop their projects and products and interact positively with national initiatives by monitoring and exploiting available opportunities. She also explained that launching the 3rd edition of the “World’s Coolest Winter” campaign, under the slogan "Our Heritage" from Ajman will open new horizons and promising investment opportunities for businesswomen who want to implement special projects, as Ajman is characterized by an active tourism sector that includes a wide range of tourist sites and pioneering advantages and elements.

She praised the continuous support of the wise leadership to develop the business of businesswomen and enhance their contribution to the local product. She also appreciated the efforts made by the Ajman Chamber and all the local and federal entities of the AJBWC’s partners to provide the necessary support for the success of its initiatives and projects and to provide an encouraging economic climate for businesswomen who wish to start new businesses.

During the meeting, they reviewed the agenda, approved the minutes of the previous meeting, and presented the AJBWC’s achievements made during the year 2022 in terms of internal and external events and participations. During the current year, the AJBWC signed 5 memorandums of cooperation with "the Umm Al Moumineen Women's Association, the Sharjah Ladies Club, the Arab Women's Council for Social Responsibility and the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation in Ajman, and the Punitive and Correctional Institution at the RAK Police General Headquarters”. The AJBWC's initiatives implemented during 2022 included “Emirati Jamila, Ryouqi (My Breakfast), Business Clinic, Sports Platform, and Rufof.”

The attendees were briefed on the most prominent forums organized by the AJBWC in 2022, including the "First GCC Forum", the "Women is the Pulse of the Nation", the "Emirati Women's Forum", and the "Dialogue Forum at Ajman University". It also organized a number of exhibitions with a view to opening innovative marketing channels for its members, such as "Kashta Exhibition with the participation of 13 business owners, and the First GCC exhibition with the participation of 53 entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Arab Republic of Egypt".

Moreover, the AJBWC organized during the current year 7 workshops and participated in 14 local events within the country, including exhibitions, forums, and conferences, in addition to its participation in external events, including the "4th Gulf Forum on the Occasion of Kuwaiti Women's Day" under the slogan "Kuwaiti Women: Pioneering and Achievement", "Milano Fashion Week 2022", the "Second Arab Forum for Working Women" in the Sultanate of Oman, the centenary celebration of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria, and the "40th anniversary of the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME)".

As part of the AJBWC’s efforts to discuss prospects for joint cooperation, exchange experiences and expertise, and learn about best practices, the AJBWC received during the year 2022 a number of economic delegations, including the “Business Women’s Association in Kazakhstan,” an economic delegation from the Republic of Slovenia, an economic delegation from the Kingdom of Thailand, and an economic delegation from the Republic of Serbia.

The AJBWC board members praised the Council's 2023 work plan, which will include a number of initiatives, specialized workshops, exhibitions, and local and international participations in line with the Council's mission and objectives aimed at encouraging and supporting women to enter the labor market, support their initiatives, investments, and projects, and adopt their ideas and motivate them to enter the fields of freelance work inside and outside the country.
