Kuwait's state refiner KNPC has announced that it will soon start commissioning of its diesel production unit at the Mina Abdullah (MAB) refinery, located 60 km to the south of capital Kuwait City on the Arabian Gulf.

A strategic clean fuels project, the MAB refinery boasts a 454,000 bpd refining capacity.

KPNC said along with the Mina Al Ahmadi Refineries, MAB forms an integrated refining complex with a total capacity of 800,000 bpd. It is expected to boost Kuwait’s global position in the oil refining industry.

The Kuwaiti energy giant had recently hosted representatives from international banks that contributed to financing the Clean Fuels Project in the company's head office.

The representatives of the banks assume the audit and follow-up business on the fulfillment of the requirements and conditions of this huge project under the agreement signed with KNPC.-TradeArabia News Service
