Khater Foundation will donate catheterization laboratory (cath labs) to Kasr Al Aini Hospital to support fighting life threatening diseases such as coronary artery disease, stroke, and tumors

Siemens Healthineers is a vital healthcare partner to both the public and private sector in Egypt.

Cairo, Egypt - Siemens Healthineers, a leading global medical technology company, and Alameda Healthcare Group, Egypt’s leading private healthcare Group, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support the transformation of the healthcare sector in Egypt.

The MoU was signed by Michael Schmermer, Managing Director, Siemens Healthineers,  Subzone Egypt, and Dr. Fahad Khater, Chairman of Alameda Healthcare Group. Also in attendance were Renas Rechid, Senior VP, Global Head of Sales Enterprise Services, Siemens Healthcare, Germany;  and Mr.  Neeraj Mishra, CEO of Alameda Healthcare Group, Agnes Mwagiru, Head of Enterprise Services, Middle East, Eastern and Southern Africa, Siemens Healthineers, Tarek El-Sheikh, Head of Sales, Siemens Healthineers, Subzone Egypt.

The MoU defines key partnership areas between Siemens Healthineers and Alameda Healthcare Group, which include training and technical, clinical, and quality assurance educational support, as well as the provision of the latest medical technology, market analysis and support for educational initiatives and continuing education for medical professionals, contributing to the development of a tailored medical technology roadmap for Egypt. Additionally, the partnership outlines the role of both parties in the supply, maintenance, and life cycle management of medical technology, providing strong clinical pathway advisory services, and providing a range of digital solutions like teamplay performance management application, AI-RAD Companion & Syngo virtual Cockpit. The MoU will also facilitate the establishment of an innovation think tank and joint governance committee, with the ultimate goal of optimizing, expanding, and advancing patient-centric care.  

In collaboration with Siemens Healthineers Egypt, the agreement has allowed Alameda Healthcare Group to upgrade three of its catheterization laboratories (cath labs), two of which will be installed at As-Salam International Hopsital in Maadi and Dar El Fouad Hospital in 6th of October City, and one to be donated to Kasr Al Aini Hospital through the Khater Foundation. These state-of-the-art cath labs will support doctors and medical staff in fighting life threatening diseases such as coronary artery disease, stroke, and tumors.

Both parties’ efforts to bolster the Egyptian healthcare space will see them work to transform the operations of the four hospitals in Alameda Healthcare Group’s portfolio including: As-Salam International Hopital’s two sites in Maadi and New Cairo, as well as both Dar El Fouad Hospital locations in Nasr City and 6th of October City. The agreement also notes that over the course of the next seven years, Alameda Healthcare Group will partner with Siemens Healthineers in its expansion plan to establish two new green field hospitals across Egypt. The two entities will also work together to upgrade equipment in Alameda Healthcare Group’s existing hospitals and to ensure the adoption of the latest technology available in the market.

Alameda Healthcare Group have previously partnered together, most recently with the addition of the cutting-edge Biograph Horizon PET/CT scanner at As-Salam International Hospital in Maadi, Cairo.
