Sharjah: Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) opened its 35th branch today Wednesday, in Rahmania Mall, one of the newest shopping destinations in Sharjah, in an effort to reach its growing customer base and meet their needs.
The opening ceremony of the new branch attended by His Excellency Mohamed Abdalla, CEO of Sharjah Islamic Bank, His Excellency Ahmed Abdullah Ahmed Al Matrooshi, Chairman of the Rahmaniyah District Council, Abdullah Al Huraimel, Executive Director of New Enterprises at Sharjah Cooperative Society, Nabil Abou Alwan, Head of Retail Banking at SIB, and Jassem AlBlooshi, head of organizational excellence at SIB, Maged Shaaban, Head of Branches Network and Direct Sales, Retail Banking at SIB, Mohamed Mousa Ali, Regional Manager, Retail Banking-Branches' Network at SIB, in addition to several SIB, Rahmania Mall, and Sharjah Cooperative Society officials.
Enhancing commercial and investment activity in various parts of the country
His Excellency Mohamed Abdalla stressed SIB’s keenness to develop its business and strengthen its network of branches in shopping centers across the seven emirates of the country. The goal is to meet and exceed customer expectations and provide a wide variety of banking services to individuals, companies, and institutions, round the clock, throughout the week.
The bank’s branches in shopping centers and malls provide greater flexibility to customers as they remain open for extended periods and well into the evening.
The CEO of SIB further added: “It is the 35th branch of the Sharjah Islamic Bank in the United Arab Emirates, the eighth branch located inside a shopping center at a state level, and fifth in the shopping centers in the Emirate of Sharjah.”
Serving the community of the Emirate of Sharjah
Abdullah Al Huraimel, Executive Director of New Enterprises at Sharjah Cooperative Society welcomed the presence of Sharjah Islamic Bank among the national and international brands that opened their branches in Rahmania Mall. He thanked the bank’s management for their trust in the Mall and the Sharjah Cooperative Society for many years of distinguished partnership in launching and implementing several ground-breaking initiatives and campaigns to serve the people of Sharjah and the UAE.
Al Huraimel said that the opening of the new bank branch serves as a valuable addition to the list of facilities and services that the mall provides to its visitors and shoppers. Al Huraimel added that SIB’s opening will support Rahmania Mall’s solid position, where, in a few months, it is set to became leading community destination for shopping, entertainment, and dining. Also, Rahmania Mall will have more stores and brands opening up during the next few months.
New addition to Rahmania Mall
The branch comes as a new addition to Rahmania Mall, one of the latest projects of Sharjah Cooperative Society, and serves a large residential area. It covers the following districts; Al-Rahmaniya suburb of Kshishah, Shagrafa, Al-Dafin, and Mezaira’a, in addition to the Al-Zubair and Al-Saja’a industrial areas, and some nearby government departments.
Open for 12 hours per day and 6 days a week
SIB’s Al Rahmania Mall branch will remain open for 12 hours per day and 6 days a week from Saturday to Thursday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. It will provide all of its banking services supported by a range of electronic and smart channels and devices available around the clock for customers and merchants alike.
