INSEAD hosts 3rd Talent Networking Forum in Dubai

Abu Dhabi - In its mission to foster and grow its extensive network within the global business community, INSEAD, the leading international business school, hosted its third Talent Networking Forum in Dubai. More than 210 INSEAD MBA students and 100 alumni met with recruitment professionals at the Middle East Talent Networking Forum at Jumeirah Beach Hotel Conference Centre. More than 55 renowned companies participated, including Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company), Booz Allen Hamilton, Al Futtaim, IKEA, Abraaj Capital, Barclays, Emerson, Emirates Group, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, A.T. Kearney, Microsoft, Novartis, Philips and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Peter B. Zemsky, Professor of Strategy, The Eli Lilly Chaired Professor of Strategy and Innovation, Deputy Dean of INSEAD and Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Innovation, opened the event. Ramy Sfeir, Partner at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company), delivered the keynote session: "MENA Family Businesses: Transcending Generations".

When commenting on the UAE's dynamic economic environment, Peter B. Zemsky noted, "The UAE ranks as a top location for quality of life with its uniquely global character and favourable business environment. INSEAD has been serving the global business community through its executive education programmes and talent pool. The Talent Networking Forum is a unique opportunity for students and alumni to gain exposure to the latest insights on hiring strategies; it brings them in touch with top organisations in order to ensure that the finest talent drives the future of business in the region."

Ramy Sfeir from Strategy& added, "A significant number of businesses in the region are family-owned, many starting off as small entrepreneurial entities and then growing to multinational conglomerates.  As they grow and expand, they have to match up to the challenges presented by an ever-evolving economic environment. Only the finest talent, especially those that understand the region's dynamics and the inter-generational changes at play, can tide them through and help them grow."

INSEAD has accelerated the growth of the local alumni network, via the Executive MBA programme and increased employment rate of MBA graduates in the region. Ranked number one in the world under the Financial Times 'Global MBA Ranking 2016', INSEAD has a consistent track record in matching students to employment opportunities, with 90 per cent employed within three months of graduation, earning a median salary of USD 107,100.

INSEAD alumni are spread over 150 countries, 34 per cent opting for Western Europe, 12 per cent in North America, 28 per cent in Asia Pacific, 5 per cent in Latin America, 10 per cent in Africa and the Middle East and the remaining 11 per cent in the rest of Europe.
