Domty is constructing a 28,000 m2 factory with 100 million EGP worth of investments
Arabian Food Industries Co. 'Domty' and Tetra Pak® officially signed a contract for the new plant equipment during Gulfood Manufacturing 2015 exhibition in Dubai. The contract signature ceremony was attended by Eng. Omar Damaty, CEO, Mohamed Damaty vice CEO and Eng. Khaled Damaty General Manager for Domty.
Dennis Jönsson, President and CEO, Tetra Pak Group, signed the new equipment contract with the attendance of Amar Zahid, Vice President Greater Middle East & Africa and Anders Lindgren, Managing Director Tetra Pak Egypt along with management teams of both companies.
"'Domty' remains committed to contributing to the Egyptian economy through expanding its investments, as well as, continuing to provide the market with high-quality products", stated Omar Damaty, Chairman of the Arabian Food Industries Co 'Domty'. Adding that, "We aim to continue to grow and show our trust in the Egyptian economy."
Anders Lindgren, Managing Director, Tetra Pak Egypt, stated "today while celebrating Domty's 25th anniversary, it is worth noting that, Domty is currently producing ten times the volume they produced in 2010 - which is a phenomenal growth. Domty has always been innovative company that strives to introduce the latest technologies, products, sizes and flavors to the Egyptian market. He added that, "The new plant will increase Domty's production capacity providing more opportunities for growth".
It is worth mentioning that, Domty holds 40% market share in cheese category and 8% in the juice category. The new factory is expected to double juice production capacity and add a yearly production capacity of 120 million packs of cheese. Investments in the new plant are around 100 million EGP on an area of 28,000m2, providing more than 500 job opportunities.
