The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) hosted a delegation from Eritrea's Ministry of Tourism and organized a two-week training programme for the visitors at Novotel and Ibis World Trade Centre Hotel.
Mr. Ibrahim Yaqoot, DTCM Executive Director Human Resources and Training Solutions, said the hosting of Eritrean team was part of the department's endeavor to share expertise and knowledge about the tourism industry with others.
The programme was organized through the Consulate General of the State of Eritrea in Dubai.
The delegation was briefed about the role and activities of the department, especially in the field of hospitality industry training and human resources development for the emirate's expanding tourism industry.
The delegation gained knowledge about various aspects of hotel industry functioning during their programme at the Novotel and Ibis World Trade Centre Hotel.

DTCM is the principal authority for the development of tourism in Dubai, one of the world's most popular destinations. Established in 1997, it is the sole licensing body for the hotel establishments and tourism-related businesses. Its supervisory role covers heritage sites, cruise terminal and convention bureau.
