The Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the region's innovation hub for high-technology industries, is establishing the Dubai Circuit Design (DCD) centre in collaboration with Synopsys, a world leader in semi-condutor design software.

DSOA will use Synopsys' professional services and Synopsys' pilot design environment to set up the DCD centre, the region's first chip design centre for physical implementation of advanced integrated circuits (ICs), said a press statement.

Synopsys supported DCD with hiring staff and management and technical expertise.

With the help of Synopsys, the DCD office is now operational and engineers are fully trained on Synopsys tools.
