Kuwait: Landmark, one of the leading retail companies in the region, celebrated the launching of its new regional unified brand 'Centrepoint' in the Salmiya showroom on Wednesday in an entertaining atmosphere. Landmark's new Centrepoint top management and dignitaries attended the ceremony, which also included the local media as well as the company's loyal customers.

Famous Lebanese singer Diana Hadad who was expected to attend the ceremony has apologised as she wasn't able to come. Instead a special guest, Manal Al-Rumah, launched the brand. Al-Rumah, the chief operation officer of Landmark group in Kuwait, said: "It makes me proud and happy to see people accepting our new brand 'Centrepoint'. Landmark has grown very fast and certainly has proven itself through building a strong foundation within Kuwait and the region. I have no doubt that the new brand will enhance this growth and will also enable us to achieve our aim of becoming a unified multinational company servicing the family as a whole".

Corporate social responsibility has always been one of Landmark's main priorities, thus a special programme including visiting special needs schools and children's hospitals will be held enabling those children to take part in celebrating and acknowledging the new Centrepoint brand. Both the local media and other officials were present during the ceremony. The event was broadcast live from the Centrepoint Al Salmiya Showroom. The first customers, especially the kids, received gifts. Then a big cake prepared for the celebration was cut and distributed among the Centerpoint visitors followed by a big firework.
