Following the success of last year's Zuma pop-up over the 2013 summer season, Rainer Becker, co-founder and creator of Zuma, has decided to permanently open his award-winning contemporary Japanese restaurant at D-Hotel Maris in Turkey in June 2014.

Set high up on the hillside of the Datca Peninsula at the moment where the Aegean & Mediterranean Seas meet, D-Hotel Maris is one of the world's loveliest and most exclusive resorts with 200 deluxe rooms and suites, an ESPA spa, restaurants, bars and the finest water sports available. D-Hotel Maris is delighted to welcome the unique and stylish dining experience that is Zuma. Located on the hotel's terrace, Zuma offers breathtaking views of both the volcanic mountain ranges and the exquisite coastline below.

At D-Hotel Maris, the exotic elements of the East and modernity of the West are combined in a minimalist style that is on display throughout the resort. This is mirrored in the ethos at Zuma where contemporary Japanese dishes deliver a sophisticated expression of modern Izakaya-style dining whilst respecting the traditions of Japanese food culture.  Izakaya is informal eating and drinking in a relaxed environment, where food is shared and is continually brought to the table over the course of the meal.

Zuma at D-Hotel Maris features a sushi counter and robata grill, a charcoal grill from Japan that Rainer Becker introduced to Europe ten years ago. The freshest fish available is sourced for the sushi and sashimi platters and signature dishes, served from both the main kitchen and the robata grill, include the famous jumbo tiger prawn with yuzu pepper (a Japanese citrus fruit) and the succulent chilli marinated lamb chops with pickled baby onion and carrots.

Zuma's very own bar talent will mix creative cocktails such as the martini style Ama Mizu with fresh watermelon, sake and vodka and the Yoshi Nura with ginger, mint and lime - either with premium spirits or as non-alcoholic cleansers. House DJs add to the ambiance with eclectic beats, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the relaxed energy of Zuma. Zuma at D-Hotel Maris is the latest indulgence offered by the divine luxury of the hotel.

Rooms start from; £420 per night for the Deluxe sea view room, including breakfast and taxes.
