Vodafone Egypt - the leading company for telecommunications - provides a new type of unique and distinguished service - namely two separate SIM cards that work on one telephone line under the commercial name of 'SIM2'. This new service operates to serve a major sector of Vodafone customers, who use more than one handset, whether two mobiles, or one mobile and a vehicle line that operates on GSM.

The new Vodafone service is a true addition to an endless endeavors that aim at customer satisfaction. Customers would now receive calls on only one number on any of the two handsets they are using . The need for such new service appeared when users of vehicle lines found themselves over busied answering other GSM calls while driving or having to change the SIM card from one handset to the other.

Vodafone provides the new SIM2 to Vodafone subscribers who use monthly subscription rate plan, C2B, Vodafone Control, Vodafone Smart and Personal.

Vodafone customer operates the two SIM cards easily through switching off the mobile that has one of the two SIM cards while switching on the mobile that has the other.

Having the two separate SIM cards would not mean that a customer would receive two invoices at the end of each month. Instead as the two SIM cards belong to only one telephone line, the customer shall receive one monthly invoice.

Through the second SIM card, Vodafone customers can obtain the same privileges of the first SIM card, including converting calls, transmission of short messages, security and fax receipt, like any other regular SIMs.

It is also worth mentioning that the two SIM cards are very developed to accommodate storage capacity of 250 names each, 30 short messages and would each keep register of the last 10 calls dialed. Each SIM has furthermore a separate code that would secure it.

New subscribers of monthly subscrtiption rate plan may obtain the new SIM2 service from any Vodafone counter or sales outlet as they pay the line fees and request for the new service. The new line shall then immediately operable.
