Hi Tech state-of-the-art Qtel stand to be showcased

Qtel announced today that is the platinum sponsor of the 9th HiTec Qatar 2005 Exhibition and Conference, which will be held from the 24 to 27 April 2005. The company has pledged its technical support to ensure the success of the exhibition and has built an exclusive state-of-the-art stand, which will be unveiled at the exhibition.

Organised by the World Trade Centre-Doha, Hi Tec Qatar 2005 will feature IT, Telecommunications, Electronic products and showcase various office and security equipment and is being held under the patronage of H.E Sheikh Mohammed Bin Ahmed Bin Jassim Al-Thani, the Minister of Economy and Commerce.

"Qatar is on the super highway when it comes to using and implementing the latest IT and telecommunications technology to attain sustainable development and progress.Said waleed Al-Sayed- Qtel Executive Director of Group Communications : "We are keen to support events and exhibitions which will bring together IT and Telecom experts from around the world giving all of us a platform for the transfer of knowledge and the latest technical know-how."

The Qtel multi-level stand, will showcase Qtel's Wireless, Wireline and Qatar Cable Vision products and services. Free high-speed Internet connection will be available to guests, who can also enjoy a round of golf at the mini golf course, which has been built on the top level of the stand.

For the first time, HiTec Qatar Shopper will also be launched in the sidelines of the exhibition, making it accessible for average consumers to buy and look at the latest in IT and telecoms products and services.
