Cairo – International Data Corporation is delighted to announce that His Excellency Dr. Amr Talaat, Egypt's Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), will be presenting the keynote speech at the virtual edition of the IDC Egypt CIO Summit 2021. Taking place tomorrow (Monday, June 14) under the theme 'Innovative Digital Strategies: Evolving to the Demands of a New Reality' , the event will bring together senior business leaders, influential IT heads, and respected industry analysts to share their collective expertise on how best to meet the unique challenges of these unprecedented times.

IDC is proud to welcome Egypt's Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) on board as the Summit's Strategic Partner for 2021. "We’re excited to be the Strategic Partner for the Summit, bringing the event to Egypt for the 7th year in a row," says Eng. Amr Mahfouz, ITIDA's CEO, who will also be speaking at the event. "This longevity is indicative of the importance and value that both ITIDA and IDC place on connecting with IT leaders and sharing knowledge, expertise, and global trends in emerging technologies through a unique platform."

Hosted on IDC's fully immersive virtual platform, the IDC Egypt CIO Summit 2021 will provide unrivaled insights into the very latest technological innovations, combining presentations, panel discussions, real-life use cases, and individual technology tracks to help prepare delegates for the task of transforming their organizations into future enterprises.

To this end, IDC's chief research officer, Meredith Whalen, will present a dedicated session titled 'The Future Enterprise: Developing Digital Resiliency', while Nagia El-Emary, IDC's country director for Egypt and senior consultant for the Middle East and Africa, will stress the importance of leveraging innovative digital strategies to ensure resiliency that can withstand change as it occurs.

"The pandemic has ended any doubt about the need for organizations to transform into bona fide Future Enterprises that underpin every single process, initiative, and value chain with technology," says El-Emary, who will also present IDC's outlook for Egypt's ICT market. "It has accelerated the need for organizations to deliver more resilient networks, more agile cloud infrastructures, and more pervasive security. Now more than ever before, technology is the critical enabler for evolving to the needs of a new reality, and Egypt is gearing up with both the infrastructure and capabilities to deliver on these needs — both locally and internationally."

The IDC Egypt CIO Summit 2021 will also witness the launch of IDC's CIO Advisory Council for Egypt.
