  • DecoBuild: A prominent interactive platform with effective solutions to meet construction challenges 

Dubai: The entire available exhibition space for the Housing, Building Materials, Decoration & Engineering Consultancy Exhibition "DecoBuild 2019" has been fully booked, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) announced on Monday.

During a Media conference held today at its headquarters, the MBRHE revealed further details on "DecoBuild 2019", including the event’s sponsors. Government sponsors feature Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Economy, Sharjah Municipality, Sharjah Directorate of Housing, and UAE Society of Engineers, while media sponsors include Sama Dubai TV.

Present at the press conference were Sami Abdulla Gargash CEO of MBRHE, Eng. Mohamed Mushroom, president of UAE Society of Engineers, Eng. Mohamed Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Executive Director for Engineering in the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, and  Salim Makhlouf Al Naqbi, Housing Studies Expert, Sharjah Directorate of Housing.

In just few days, from 6 to 9 November 2019, it will be time again for the Who’s Who of construction materials and interior design, engineering consultancy, contracting and project management to meet up for  "DecoBuild 2019" at Elbait Metwahid Hall,Al Warqa'a 4, Dubai.

Organised over an area of 4,000 square meters by the MBRHE, the 3rd edition of event will see broad participation of 58 leading companies, manufacturers, contractors, and experts of the construction sector, in addition to a number of government entities concerned with housing as well as banks and finance services companies, a growth rate of 12% compared to the last edition.

For the first time since its inception, the four-day event, which enjoys the support of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, will organise a number of activities and workshops to be presented by senior consultants, as well as some dialogue seminars discussing the needs and requirements of real estate project owners, contractors, consultants, and citizens.

DecoBuild 2019 will also bring together a select group of major construction, decoration, electrical, lighting, gardens and swimming pools companies as well as engineering consultancies, showcasing the latest regional and international developments in the construction, architecture and design sectors.

Prominent interactive platform

Sami Abdulla Gargash stressed that the increasing number of participating companies and institutions reflects DecoBuild’s leading position although it’s be up and running for a short time. The exhibition targets Emirati people and benefits young citizens who are willing to develop their own residential or commercial projects.

“The MBRHE is very keen to transform the event into a prominent interactive platform nationwide, building on its reputation as a hub for showcasing a wide range of effective solutions tailored to meet construction challenges. The exhibition also provides an access to the latest innovations in the field of building materials, decoration and interior finishes, furniture and furnishings and other modern home accessories under one roof  one place”, Gargash said.

Social initiatives

For his part, Eng. Mohamed Ibrahim Al Mansouri said: “Our partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment has resulted in many social initiatives that helped ensure the housing stability of Emirati families.

“DecoBuild 2019 comes as part of these initiatives and is considered one of most important annual events for those willing to embark on housing projects. Our participation comes in line with our social responsibility to support social initiatives that would bring about the end goals sought by the UAE housing institutions. DecoBuild will provide very useful information including engineering consultations, designing and finishing advice, standards and techniques of maintenance and how to ensure the sustainability of the unite”, Al Mansouri added.

Resounding successes

Meanwhile, Eng. Mohamed Mushroom said: “Sponsoring DecoBuild for the third year in a row comes as a result of its resounding successes achieved by the first and second editions. DecoBuild is especially important thanks to being a special platform for sharing expertise and highlighting the latest developments and technologies in the construction sector. The UAE Society of Engineers will spare no efforts to provide all forms of support to events and exhibitions related to the engineering sector,” Mushroom added.

Pioneering housing

Salim Makhlouf Al Naqbi said|: “Our participation in the 3rd DecoBuild for the third consecutive year comes in line with our vision aiming to ensure "pioneering housing that provides stability for citizens' families". It is also in line with our mission to “secure a decent life for citizens through providing quality andinnovative housing services”.

Al Naqbi highlighted that DecoBuild 2019 will enhance communication between the public and private sectors and the housing authorities in the country. It will also serve as a link between all sectors to share knowledge and the best solutions available in the construction sector, he further said.
