Dubai, UAE : The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale also known as the World’s Biggest Book Sale, is returning to Dubai from 10 October - 20 October 2019, following a successful debut in 2018. Open 24 hours a day for 11 days, Dubai Studio City, will once again be home to three million, brand-new English-language books at discounts ranging from 50% - 80% off recommended retail prices that book lovers will love to browse through".

“Our first chapter in Dubai was an instant hit and very well received by our audiences in the United Arab Emirates and across the Gulf Cooperation Council. We are returning this year to reinforce the culture of reading, aligning with the United Arab Emirates government’s objectives to nurture the next generation of readers and to promote the country as a global capital of culture,” said Mohamed Al Aidaroos the Managing Partner of Ink Readable Books and Organiser of the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Dubai.

At the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Dubai press conference, Andrew Yap, Founder of the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale said, “Reading develops our thoughts, gives us endless knowledge and keeps our mind active. The importance of reading should not be underestimated and with three million books coming back to Dubai this year, we are confident that we have something for every type of reader. His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, said that the Foundation's participation as a Knowledge Partner  at “Big Bad Wolf Book Sale” in its second year, featuring Arabic publications and content, is in line with the Foundation’s strategies and initiatives to contribute effectively in promoting the dissemination and production of knowledge, and to strengthen the use of Arabic language in all areas. He added that the participation follows the remarkable success achieved by the exhibition in its first edition last year, which was attended by over 150, 000 visitors - the lovers of reading and knowledge - over 11 days. The participants had the opportunity to explore the treasures of knowledge and explore the diversity of publications, which were offered at competitive prices for all members of society.

“By participating in this year's edition, Qindeel Printing and Publishing, through its stand at the exhibition, will present a rich collection of Arabic publications and books, from 24 local publishing houses and 18 foreign publishing houses, with a total of half a million books including 6,000 titles covering most fields, to meet all tastes and literary aspirations, HE added.

From bestselling novels and influential business books, to art and design titles, cookery books and an unprecedented range of young adult fiction and children’s reading and activity books, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Dubai will have something to suit all tastes and preferences.  

Having its presence in 10 countries, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is also Asia’s exclusive seller of Magical Books. Using cutting-edge Augmented Reality (AR) technology to revolutionize reading for the next generation, children are able to read, play and learn through these Magical Books. These Magical Books come to life as the characters speak, dance and sing - getting children more excited to pick-up reading habit and learn. Expect to find a range of classic children’s stories such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears or education titles such as Let’s Learn Counting and Let’s Learn ABC at the Sale.

Thousands of eager readers will also have an opportunity to attend a special preview to chapter two of the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Dubai on 9 October, a day before the Book Sale opens to the public. The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale has always been a firm believer that everyone should have access to books and learn, regardless of their status. In an aim to give back to the community and make reading accessible to all, the Big Bad Wolf Books’ Corporate Social Responsibility arm,
Red Readerhood, is working with Dubai Cares - an organisation that is working towards providing children access to quality education through the design and funding of programs that aims to be integrated, impactful, sustainable and scalable. The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will
kick-start the initiative by pledging 500 books to the cause and customers are encouraged to participate and play a part in giving back to the community by donating books during the Sale.
