· Steve Kimber to lead Ford Middle East and Africa's (MEA) Commercial Vehicles and Fleet division, from regional headquarters in Dubai.

Dubai, U.A.E. - Ford has announced the appointment of Steve Kimber as Director, Commercial Vehicles and Fleet, for the Middle East and Africa region. Kimber will be based in the company's regional headquarters in Dubai.

In his new role, Kimber will report to Kalyana Sivagnanam, Vice President, Marketing, Sales & Service, Ford Middle East and Africa, who said: "I'm pleased to welcome Steve Kimber to our expanding team at Ford Middle East and Africa. Steve's extensive experience in the commercial and fleet environment, make him an immediate asset and it's a statement of intent for growing our commercial and fleet division in the region."

Kimber, the former Managing Director of Ford Norway, is an integral part of Ford's plans for expanding its commercial vehicle and fleet development in the region. Kimber's appointment reflects an increased investment in Ford's business in the region and as a key part of the company's exciting growth plan. Kimber brings a wealth of experience gained across the commercial business and fleet in both mainland Europe and Britain.

As part of the new structure, Kimber will focus on growing the fleet and commercial vehicle business by identifying opportunities and building a professional and capable team. He will also look to work with Ford dealer partners to build strong relationships with Ford fleet customers across the region.

"One of my initial challenges in this new role is ensuring Ford has the products and programmes to meet the needs of our fleet customers. It's imperative to make Ford the first point of call for fleet businesses, who want a product that is fit for purpose, backed by an exceptional sales and service experience," said Kimber.
