The UAE will host the biggest facilities management (FM) event in the region this year after the Middle East Facility Management Association (MEFMA) announced that it is holding the 9th edition of its MEFMA CONFEX in the country in March.

Happening from March 10 to 12, 2019 at the Address Hotel – Dubai Marina under the theme ‘Business Intelligence & Technology Driven Facilities Management,’ the three-day new edition will focus on major technological developments relevant to the growth of the regional FM industry. It will feature a range of activities to highlight contemporary opportunities and challenges in the sector.

Keynote presentations, panel discussions, and workshops will take place during the conference along with an interactive two-day exhibition that will showcase the latest technology-driven FM products and services. The attendees of the workshops will receive a Certificate of Attendance from MEFMA. Additionally, the event will stage the MEFMA Technology Driven FM Recognition Awards this year and the first FM Counselling Sessions, which will bring together FM companies and potential clients for one-on-one counselling, knowledge sharing, and networking.

Jamal Lootah, President, MEFMA, said: “We are bringing MEFMA CONFEX 2019 to the Emirates to highlight again the critical role of the local market in the continuous development of the regional FM community. Inspired by the success of the event’s previous editions, we are introducing new activities this year to further showcase the significance of new technologies in our commitment to deliver state-of-the-art FM services. Around 500 to 600 visitors from the government and private sectors are expected to join us in 2019 to help us in our bid to strengthen the FM community in the Middle East and make it globally competitive.”
