UAE -   The UAE banks' gross assets rose by 3% to AED 3.172 trillion by the end of January 2021, when compared to the same month of 2020.

On a monthly basis, the UAE banks' assets declined by around AED 15.7 billion in January 2021, compared to AED 3.188 trillion in the earlier month, according to the latest data by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE).

In January, the UAE banks' deposits and gross credit increased by 2.7% and 2.4% year-on-year (YoY), respectively.

Meanwhile, the total bank's reserves at the CBUAE reached AED 305.7 billion in January, down 2.3% YoY.
