ArabFinance: Bank Audi Egypt submitted a request to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to provide its clients with an online payment channel on e-shopping websites, CEO and Managing Director of the bank Mohamed Bedeir told Al Mal.

Bedeir added that once the CBE approves the new e-service, Bank Audi’s clients will be able to purchase from online websites through the bank’s cards.

He added that the Lebanese bank spent about $25 million (EGP 404.54 million) to upgrade its technological infrastructure during the period from 2016 until 2019.

Bank Audi Egypt is currently developing chatbot and omnichannel services to offer various services for executing banking transactions.

Bedeir announced on June 16th that the bank is opening a new branch in 6th of October City that is in compliance with Islamic Sharia.
