RIYADH — The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has added 10 new apps to the list of delivery apps via electronic platforms registered at the Commission, bringing the total to 20 apps, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Sunday.

The CITC said that this measure is meant to meet the increasing demand for delivery services via electronic applications during this period.

The CITC is calling on beneficiaries to get acquainted with the list of apps provided in the Commission’s website https://www.citc.gov.sa/list.

Earlier, the CITC had issued directives to all providers of delivery service via these electronic platforms to take a number of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

It has also stressed to service providers to check the temperature of their deliverymen daily and verify their safety.

The CITC has underlined the importance for delivery men to maintain hygiene including sanitizing their hands, wearing gloves and face masks and changing them frequently.

This in addition to avoiding shaking hands, making sure to keep a safe distance of 2 meters when handing over the orders, and to use electronic payment systems.

The CITC is also intensifying its supervision and inspection of all service providers to verify how far they are complying with the precautionary and preventive measures. It takes regulatory measures against all violators.
