Flag carrier Oman Air diverted two Muscat-bound flights to UAE airports on Sunday due to the unstable weather, said a report.

The carrier's Kathmandu-Muscat and Bangalore – Muscat flights were rerouted to Sharjah and Dubai, respectively, as the state was hit by torrential rains, said a report in Times of Oman.

"We would like to bring to your attention that due to torrential rain this evening, our Kathmandu-Muscat flight WY 338 had to be diverted to Sharjah Airport, while our Bangalore-Muscat flight WY-284 was diverted to Dubai airport. We deeply regret any inconvenience caused to our affected guests,” said the report citing a statement from the airline.
