DUBAI- Qatar Petroleum subsidiary, Qatar Aluminium Manufacturing Company (QAMCO), plans to sell 49 percent of its shares in a public offering on Oct. 30, the state news agency QNA reported on Monday.

The public offering will be priced at 10.1 Qatari riyals ($2.77) a share, Qatar Petroleum said in a separate statement.

State energy giant Qatar Petroleum said in May that it will list 49 percent of its shares in the aluminium smelter plant Qatalum in a public offering during the last quarter of this year. Norway's Norsk Hydro owns 50 percent in the joint venture.

Qatar's Financial Markets Authority approved the request to publicly list shares of Qatalum last week.
