Under the theme ‘Gateway to Future Innovations, the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) is taking part in Gitex Technology Week 2019 from October 6 to 10 at Sheikh Saeed Hall, Dubai World Trade Centre.

PCFC participates in the region’s largest technology event with 17 of its latest projects and high-tech innovations, including Artificial Intelligence applications, Block Chain, process automation ,virtual reality and much more, in keeping up with Dubai’s rapid technology transformations following the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Teams from PCFC’s entities, namely Dubai Customs, DP World, Customs World, Dubai Maritime City Authority, Planning and Development Department “Trakhees”, and Dutech, will be there to walk the visitors through the latest smart services and projects on offer at the exhibition.

Dubai Customs

Dubai Customs will be officially kicking off  its Productivity Disruption Project , named Productivity Engine, which uses  artificial intelligence to boost employee productivity. Other projects on display by Dubai Customs include Virtual Reality Inspectors Training Program - Phase 2, Smart Vessel Berthing System, International Humanitarian Databank, Masar Corporate Strategy and Performance Management system, and the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program.

DP World

DP World is showcasing three projects at this year’s Gitex: Box-Bay Storage, a breakthrough  technology that is expected to add 200 per cent more capacity than a conventional terminal; Twist lock Robot which is a robotic arm to remove/engage twist locks on the container without human intervention and is  20% faster than humans performing the same activity; in addition to Block Chain project for automation of operations towards a more streamlined and secure procedures.

Department of Planning and Development – Trakhees

Department of Planning and Development – Trakhees will be presenting Smart Inspection - Phase 2 for effective inspection of facilities helping reduce paperwork, automate process, cut down human errors and better decision on the spot. Besides, it will showcase Trakhees LMS, an e-Learning system designed to provide in-house training courses for Trakhees.

Dubai Maritime City Authority

Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) is taking part with three projects, namely DMVC Platform, an enhanced informative, interactive and unifying portal with new Native Mobile Application for the maritime sector in Dubai through the concept of Maritime Virtual Cluster, as well as Sea Dubai platform for marine leisure activities in Dubai and Smart Maritime Authority application.

Customs World

Customs World will show its newly rolled  RIISE platform, a disruptive customs system developed as a flexible, plug-and-play solution that can be deployed and customized to empower different countries with a cost-effective and sustainable customs system that allows them to effectively and transparently manage core customs activities and conduct trade in the global market.

Dutech
Dutech, PCFC’s technical arm, will introduce Mektabi corporate collaboration smart platform and the company’s newly revamped website.
