The Dubai Modest Fashion Week (DMFW) will be held on 8th–9th December at the Burj Park, Downtown Dubai. The two-day event is expected to showcase the latest modest-fashion trends from popular designers across the globe. Take a look at the big names who will be present at the event.

Through his new exhibition, now on display in Cambridge, German-born freelance photographer Ahmed Eckhard Krausen is showcasing the diversity of Islam in Europe and its close links to Christianity and Judaism. Titled “Islam in Europe”, it marks the opening of a new building of The Woolf Institute, based in Cambridge, England.

The exhibition will be on display until May 2018 and will examine the current and historical relationships between the faith traditions of Judaism, Islam and Christianity, with special reference to Europe and West Asia. The aim of the exhibition is to invite people to join a constructive interreligious dialogue.

The Netherlands gets its first modest-fashion pop-up store. On the ground floor of MegaStores, a mall in The Hague, a new 725-meter-square space is devoted to modest fashion. HazanahxNesci opened last month with over 400 visitors and 40 social influencers, and it plans to stick around there for two months.

The store is run by modest-fashion online retailers Habibe Suryana-Ayaz of Hazanah and Enaam Ahmed Ali of Nesci.

The United Arab Emirates has launched a programme to select four citizens to be astronauts representing the UAE in space exploration, the country’s prime minister announced on Wednesday. “On this day, a new chapter in our history begins with the launch of the first UAE Astronaut Programme, dedicated to sending four Emirati Astronauts into space,” Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice president and ruler of Dubai, said today via his official Twitter account.
