RABAT  - Morocco's annual consumer price inflation slowed to 2.1 percent year-on-year in July from 2.5 percent in June, the High Planning Commission said on Friday.

Food inflation stood at 1.8 percent, down from 3.1 percent in June, while non-food inflation remained flat at 2.0 percent, the commission said in a statement.

Inflation of goods and miscellaneous services stood at 6.7 percent after 6.4 percent in June.

Last month, the commission forecast Morocco's annual inflation would rise from 0.8 percent in 2017 to 1.7 percent in 2018 and 1.3 percent in 2019.
