Dubai: For the world’s most successful Bugatti dealership, creating the world’s largest showroom in Dubai for the super-performance marque was the next logical step. On Wednesday, the facility — measuring 240 square metres — and owned and operated by Al Habtoor Motors, opened on Shaikh Zayed Road.

And on hand was the Chiron, billed as nothing less than the “most powerful, the fastest, the most luxurious and the most exclusive production super sports car”, an 8.0 litre mean machine with a price tag of just under $3 million (Dh11 million).

And 30 of the orders for the Chiron — which will be limited to 500 production cars — have come from the UAE, further strengthening the dealership’s status as the brand’s most successful partner. As such, the Arabian peninsula is “one of Bugatti’s key sales markets”, accounting for 26 per cent of orders received for the Chiron. (The Chiron’s presence in Dubai had to do with being on a tour of the region.) “A location of this significance and appeal for our brand has earned a superlative showroom,” said Dr Stefan Brungs, Member of the Board of Management of Bugatti Automobiles and responsible for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service.

It was then no coincidence that Chiron was in attendance at the showroom opening. “Many Bugatti customers who have been the closest and most loyal ambassadors of our brand for many years live in this region,” Brugs said. “Some of them are proud owners of car collections with even several Bugatti super sports cars.”

Al Habtoor Motors has been the official dealer for the French brand since 2006 and a Bugatti Service Partner of Excellence since 2013. This is the market with the largest Veyron fleet, of over 55 vehicles.

According to Sultan Al Habtoor, President of Al Habtoor Motors, “Our target was to bring the largest, most beautiful Bugatti showroom to the heart of Dubai.”

The entrance features the legendary Bugatti horseshoe. The design element, found on a Bugatti radiator grille, is almost 4 metres high. Inside, the furniture is from the Bugatti Home Collection.
