Cairo – Mubasher: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has inaugurated on Monday Bahr El-Baqar plant, the world's largest wastewater treatment plant.

At a cost of EGP 20 billion, the plant has a treatment capacity of 5.6 million cubic metres per day using tertiary treatment method, Spokesman of the Egyptian Presidency, Bassam Rady, said in a statement.

The plant will contribute to the reclamation of 400,000 feddans in North Sinai as part of the national project for Sinai development and the country's plan to make the best use of water resources, Rady noted.
