Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian government established 437,000 residential units over the course of 2019, according to data revealed by the cabinet’s Media Center on Tuesday.

A total of 17,000 residential units were built in partnership with the private sector, while 336,000 residential units were constructed over land plots provided to citizens, data showed.

Moreover, about 84,000 residential units were established at a cost of EGP 19.6 billion, including 64,000 social housing units at a cost of EGP 10.5 billion, 12,000 housing units for middle-incomers at a cost of EGP 4 billion, and 8,000 high-level housing units at a cost of EGP 5.1 billion.
