CAIRO - Egypt's state-buyer, the Egyptian Sugar and Integrated Industries Company (ESIIC), will hold an international purchase tender for 100,000 tonnes of raw sugar, according to a document seen on Wednesday.

ESIIC had initially said it was seeking 150,000 tonnes of raw sugar in an earlier tender announcement.

ESIIC is seeking one 50,000 tonne cargo of raw sugar for shipment within the first half of September and one 50,000 tonne cargo for shipment from Oct.1-15, the document stated.

The deadline for bids is 10 a.m. local Cairo time on Aug. 18.
