Cairo - Engineer Ahmed El Sewedy, Founder and Chairman of El Sewedy Education, has assured that the higher education system is bound to witness a quantum leap which will show its merits on all aspects of life in Egypt.

This anticipated change comes at a time when the world is taken by environmental crises, technology and data revolutions, which in turn reflect on national economies and state-provided services.

The forum takes place in the New Administrative Capital between April 4th and April 6th under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi.

During his participation in the Global Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research, the first initiative of its kind, El Sewedy added that the way political leadership is directed towards developing our educational systems is admirable. Their efforts shine bright through their selection of 2019 as the ‘Year of Education’.

More than 2000 education experts and executives, from 55 countries around the world, are participating in revamping higher education and scientific research systems in Egypt. This initiative is a golden opportunity for knowledge and expertise exchange as well as an open door to discover the latest creative and technological advancements in education, he said.

Moreover, Mr. Ihab Salama, CEO of El Sewedy Education, has stated that their desire to sponsor this innovative forum stems from a deep-rooted belief in the significance of developing national education systems as well as relying on scientific research for a better, more civilized society.

This point alone stands tall in Egypt’s 2030 vision for sustainable development. For that reason, constantly working towards hosting events and initiatives, like the Global Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research “GFHESR”, and connecting between diverse expertise from all walks of life are keys for success, he added.

“The Knowledge Hub, on the other hand, is one of the pioneering projects in our higher education sector. It gathers a selection of the most globally-acknowledged colleges in the fields of Engineering, Information Technology, Media and Design, and places them on a 50-acre space in the New Administrative Capital,” Mr. Salama said.

Finally, he added that choosing the New Administrative Capital to host the first edition of this initiative was an excellent milestone that shows how far our country has come. Also, ensuring that The Knowledge Hub was among the first universities to establish its new premises in the new capital.
