Dubai: The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has redesignated its customer happiness centre for medical tests in Muhaisnah area as a centre that will address the needs of expatriates and violators of residency rules.

This is part of the GDRFA’s endeavour to provide the best services to customers and to cut down on procedural time and effort.

The new centre will begin operating from August 1, from 7.30am to 2.30pm.

It will provide services such as filing reports on absconders, collecting fines from residency rule violators, visa cancellation for violators, collecting registration fees, and listing and issuing departure permits and outpasses.

Major-General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, director-general of GDRFA in Dubai, said the new centre is another step in their efforts to make customers happy and ease procedures without having to visit GDRFA-Dubai headquarters.

“We are always keen to provide best services to our customers. This centre will help expats and violators to complete their transactions,” Maj-Gen Al Merri said.

Meanwhile, Colonel Khalaf Al Ahmad Al Gaith, assistant of the director-general for Follow-up on Illegal and Foreigners’ Affairs Sector, urged the expats and residency law violators to benefit from the services in the centre rather than going to GDRFA-Dubai headquarters or the Foreigners and Violators headquarters in Al Aweer.
