ALGIERS  - Algeria's oil and gas export volumes fell 11% in 2020 to 82.2 million tonnes of oil equivalent (toe), and revenues fell 40% to $20 billion, the energy ministry said on Sunday.

Overall energy output fell 10% to 142 million tonnes of oil equivalent, hit by restrictions linked to the coronavirus pandemic, it said in a report.

Output of refined oil products fell 1.6% to 28 million tonnes, while production of liquefied natural gas fell 11% to 24 million cubic metres due to maintenance work.

Oil and gas account for 60% of Algeria's state budget and 94% of its total exports.
