Ajman: Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), inaugurated the 2nd edition of the Ajman Philatelic & Numismatic Exhibition organized by Ajman Tourism in collaboration with the Emirates Philatelic Association (EPA) and held at the City Centre Ajman in the presence of His Excellency Saleh Al Geziry – Director General of the Ajman Tourism Development Department, and a number of representatives from the association, the Emirates Post, and the ministry of culture and youth. The exhibition runs from September 21 until September 25.

During the exhibition, two seminars on philately will be held on 22 and 23 September at 5:30 p.m. at the Radisson Blu Hotel Ajman, in addition to a public auction for rare stamps, coins and currencies on Friday 24 September from 8 to 10 p.m. at the mall.

Many exhibitors, dealers, and enthusiasts are participating in this exhibition which showcases a wide collection of rare currencies and postage stamps that recount the history and progress of the emirates and the whole region over the past decades. Also, the silver commemorative coin that was recently launched by ATDD in collaboration with The Central Bank of the UAE to honor the 40th year on the assumption of power of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, will be exhibited and sold during the exhibition.

The exhibition will constitute a boost to the list of exhibitions and events hosted by the emirate of Ajman, as Ajman Tourism aims to attract enthusiasts and visitors to further promote this rare hobby, and support the tourism sector in general.
