Based on publicly available objective data, 18 WIBC Performance Awards will be granted to the top Islamic financial institutions at the WIBC Gala Dinner on 2nd of December

The World Islamic Banking Conference (WIBC) - the leading compass for the Islamic finance industry - announced today the nominees for the WIBC Performance Awards.

The Awards recognize the top Islamic financial institutions based on their performance aggregated from multiple financial performance, financial stability, governance and social responsibility metrics that make up the WIBC Leaderboard, an innovative performance assessment tool. The data is collated from the ICD Thomson Reuters Islamic Finance Development Indicator and Bankscope. The categories include global, regional and national best performing banks based purely on their performance across the measures.

The WIBC Performance Awards represents WIBC's commitment to an objective and quantitative approach to assessing Islamic banking performance.

The winners of the awards will be announced at a high profile Gala Dinner in the Gulf Hotel in Bahrain on the 2nd of December. Ministers, central bankers, regulators, C-suite bankers & asset managers, policy makers and FinTech entrepreneurs will be in attendance.
