A total of 39 companies have submitted expressions of interest for the 600,000 cubic metres per day Rabigh 4 Independent Water Plant (IWP) project, the Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) announced last week.
In a statement posted on its website on 20 July, SWPC said 39 companies, including 21 Saudi companies, expressed their interest in Rabigh-4 IWP, located in Rabigh, 180 kilometres northwest of Makkah.
The Request for Qualification (RFQ) was issued on 17 July.

The Expression of Interest (EoI) invite was issued on 26 May with a submission deadline of 30 June 2021.
The project is scheduled to start commercial operations in 2025.
KPMG is the lead and financial advisor; Eversheds Sutherland is the legal advisor, and WSP is the technical advisor for Rabigh 4 IWP.
